Tim is an experienced banking industry and finance education leader. As a banking consultant, he has led or participated in over 100 consulting engagements in financial institutions ranging from the smallest community banks to the largest banks in the U.S., as well as foreign subsidiaries. Tim’s background includes serving as a bank regulator with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and as Director of Asset/Liability Management of a $20 billion banking institution.
Highlights:
- Served as the Associate Dean of the Montana State University College of Business, where he developed the college’s Community Banking Program and taught upper-division finance and accounting
- Is a Certified Public Accountant specializing in bank accounting issues and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), the premier credential in institutional investment management
- Serves on the board and chairs the audit committee of American Bank, one of Montana’s largest independent banks
- A former board member, treasurer, and chair of the finance committee for Thrive, one of Montana’s largest nonprofit organizations
- Operates Harvey Financial Management, a registered investment advisory (RIA) firm with clients in 12 states
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and a Master’s degree in accounting.
